Medal Edge Engraving - This is the process of adding, number, rank, name and  cap badge / regiment / service 

Medals that are issued by the Ministry of Defence or a Government are named (with a few exceptions).

When medals are new, they do not come named.  Here your have the option to name your medal upon purchase or, send us your medal for engraving.

'named' being the term used for being engraved with the recipients details, number rank name, and cap badge 

Medals like the WW1 1914/1915 Star or Mons Star are engraved on the reverse̴, to a  Ministry of Defence (MOD) standard.
